What is the P-Shot® Treatment Like?
The first step of the P-Shot® treatment is collecting blood. Your blood will be taken just like you were having bloodwork done. Once collected, the blood is placed in a centrifuge, which is a machine that separates the components of the blood to develop PRP. Then, we will numb the penis using a topical anesthetic. This prevents any discomfort that may otherwise occur during the injection process. Next, we inject the PRP into the shaft and head of the penis. The full treatment takes less than 30 minutes to perform.
What Can I Expect After My P-Shot® Treatment?
After a P-Shot® treatment, patients can expect to experience slight swelling, redness, and discomfort in the injection site. These side effects are typically mild and resolve within a few days. You will be able to resume sexual intercourse approximately one week after receiving a P-Shot® treatment.
