What is SPLENDOR X by Lumenis?

SPLENDOR X is a new and advanced laser system. It is designed by Lumenis, a leader in cosmetic laser devices. While there are a breadth of laser systems on the market, SPLENDOR X has been designed with a unique laser technology known as BLEND X. The BLEND X technology combines two different laser wavelengths into one device. These are the Nd:YAG (1064nm) and Alexandrite (755nm) wavelengths. With BLEND X, we can choose to activate these wavelengths independently or simultaneously, offering customizable treatments for patients with various skin types and cosmetic goals. Square laser spot

What are SPLENDOR X Treatments Like?

SPLENDOR X laser treatments are typically performed without anesthetics, as they are well tolerated by patients. The SPLENDOR X system features a handheld device, which is responsible for delivering precise laser energy to the treatment area. Additionally, the handheld device uses a dual cooling system to keep the skin cool and comfortable throughout treatment. It uses cryo-touch and cryo-air (surface cooling and cooled air), keeping patients comfortable throughout the laser treatment. Still, patients may experience some warm, tingling or stinging sensations during the treatment process. Thanks to the BLEND X technology, treatment times are significantly reduced compared to other laser treatments. For example, a full body laser hair removal treatment may take less than one hour, while other laser systems would require up to 3 hours for the same treatment. Ultimately, the length of your treatment will depend on the size of the treatment area. What Can I Expect After SPLENDOR X Treatments?

There is no downtime after SPLENDOR X laser treatments. Most commonly, patients experience redness and swelling in the treatment area, although these side effects are often minor and subside within a few hours. You’ll be able to resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. However, we do recommend wearing sunscreen and limiting sun exposure in the weeks after treatment as your skin heals.
